Do you have to cope with CGI script permissions? Can your FTP software set them automatically to 755? Did you ever transfer the files in wrong textbinary mode and thus got the errors? Do you know how to transfer or download links to folders, or links to files? Are important files such as .htaccess hidden from you by your FTP client?
